Your guide to Penn's on-campus college houses

Penn has eight college houses available to sophomores, juniors and seniors — but not all of them are made the same. To help you choose, here's a comprehensive guide with details on each location.

NCHW will host 450 students and will be available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. All apartments will be suite-style, with sizes ranging from three- to six-person room suites.

While 71 percent of juniors and 77 percent of seniors live in off-campus housing, the process of moving off campus can often be confusing and challenging to navigate.

In 2017, SFS estimated different costs for on- and off-campus housing for the first time, meaning less financial aid would be granted for those students living off campus.

Just this past year, the campus has experienced widespread issues in buildings, from burst pipes and mold growth to collapsed ceilings.

The percentage of juniors living in New College House increased from 3.2 percent in the 2017-18 academic year to 21.9 percent in 2018-19. Many of these juniors have stayed there since their freshman year.
